📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance to students • Manage the learning process and focus on individual student needs • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance learning toward established goals • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Personalize learning for all students and differentiate instruction based on mastery • Augment course content using approved synchronous and asynchronous tools • Maintain the grade book and ensure academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and parents/learning coaches • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Active Florida 5 Year Professional 6-12 Social Studies Certificate • Florida residency • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during the workday, typically 9–5 or 8–4 • Experience with the proposed age group preferred • Experience supporting adults and children with technology preferred • Experience teaching online or in a brick-and-mortar environment preferred • Experience with online learning platforms preferred • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to learn and adapt rapidly to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
