📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Augment course content using approved synchronous and asynchronous tools • Monitor student progress through Stride K12's learning management system • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Travel as required, averaging once per month or approximately 20% of the time, for professional development, student testing, and other school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Florida 5 Year Professional 5-9 OR 6-12 English Certificate • Reading Endorsement • ESOL Endorsement • Florida residency • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday, typically 9-5 or 8-4 • Experience working with the proposed age group is desired • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology is desired • Experience teaching in an online and/or brick-and-mortar environment is desired • Experience with online learning platforms is desired • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data is desired • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint is desired • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms is desired • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum is desired
