📋 Description

• Deliver specific Middle School Health and PE course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning based on students’ individual needs and levels of mastery • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Build positive rapport with families and communicate with students, parents, and learning coaches • Support parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Collaborate with teachers to interpret student data and use it to drive instructional decisions • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Active North Carolina teaching license/certification • North Carolina Health/PE endorsement • Ability to clear the required background check • Must reside in North Carolina • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during the workday • Experience working with the proposed age group preferred • Experience supporting adults and children with technology preferred • Experience teaching online or in a brick-and-mortar environment preferred • Experience with online learning platforms preferred • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations • Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
