📋 Description

• Modify and/or adapt the K12 curriculum to meet each student’s unique needs • Write and maintain compliant IEPs for students with special needs • Collaborate with general education teachers to meet student goals • Educate parents on instructional strategies • Prepare appropriate documentation • Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings • Proctor achievement testing and required alternative assessments • Collaborate with related services teams to develop and monitor IEP goals • Work with students in grades 6–8 who have learning, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities • Teach independent living, literacy, communication, and math skills

🎯 Requirements

• State of Ohio Intervention Specialist License • Bachelor's degree • Equivalent combination of education and experience • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio • Web proficiency • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong presentation skills • Organizational and multitasking abilities • Ability to work independently without direct supervision • Flexible schedule • Ability to travel as needed, up to 20% of the time • Ability to pass a required background check • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to work typically 40+ hours per week during school-defined hours • Willingness and ability to obtain Ohio Certification • Minimum 1 year classroom experience preferred • Master’s Degree with an emphasis in Special Education preferred • 3 or more years of classroom experience in Special Education preferred
