📋 Description

• Deliver specific middle school math course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and parents/learning coaches • Support parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Augment course content using prescribed synchronous and asynchronous tools • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Active Idaho state teaching license / Idaho Math Teaching Certificate • Ability to clear required background check • Idaho residency • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distractions during the workday • Experience with the proposed age group (desired) • Experience supporting adults and children in using technology (desired) • Experience teaching online/virtual or in a brick-and-mortar environment (desired) • Experience with online learning platforms (desired) • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations and use them for instructional decisions • Ability to receive regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
