📋 Description

• Deliver rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students • Personalize learning for all students and differentiate instruction based on mastery level • Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools under principal and coach guidance • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting • Monitor student progress through Stride K12's learning management system • Travel as required, averaging once per month or approximately 20% of the time, for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Appropriate state Department of Education Middle School (5-8) Math Teaching Certification • If certification is from another state, proof of South Carolina license application within 7 days of start date and an approved South Carolina teaching license within 90 days of start date • Ability to clear required background check • South Carolina residency preferred; candidates residing in North Carolina and Georgia may be considered • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to work school hours, typically 9–5 or 8–4 • Experience working with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children in using technology • Experience teaching online and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment • Experience with online learning platforms • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data and use it for instructional decisions • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
