📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Monitor student progress through Stride K12's learning management system • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Augment course content using approved synchronous and asynchronous tools under principal and coach guidance • Travel as required, averaging once per month and/or approximately 20% of the time, for professional development, student testing, and school requirements • Collaborate with other teachers to use student data to drive instructional decisions

🎯 Requirements

• Michigan Teaching Certification required • Middle School Science certificate required • Must reside in Michigan • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Full-time availability, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to work during school-defined hours, typically 9-5 or 8-4 • Experience working with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology • Experience teaching in an online and/or brick-and-mortar environment • Experience with online learning platforms • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
