• Oversee and coordinate special education-related local and state assessment processes • Serve as primary point of contact for special education testing accommodations • Manage and monitor accommodations for district assessments, TELPAS, STAAR, EOCs, and other state-required assessments • Resolve testing-accommodation escalations and respond to parent concerns • Support complex ARD committee decisions and unique accommodation needs • Coordinate at-home testing requests and documentation • Submit and track testing irregularities involving accommodations • Monitor ARDs, transfer student agreements, pending records, and accommodation implementation • Review supplemental aids and accommodations for TEA compliance • Coordinate TEA-approved accommodation requests and communicate decisions to IEP teams and families • Ensure accommodations are reflected in Frontline, TestHound, and related systems • Conduct audits of special education testing data and records • Track specialized testing needs, printed materials, unique accommodations, and CPI-trained support coverage • Coordinate testing schedules and communicate finalized schedules to testing sites and stakeholders • Maintain testing resources, documentation, tracking spreadsheets, and monitoring tools • Ensure compliance with TEA guidelines, district procedures, special education regulations, and test-security requirements • Provide training, technical assistance, guidance documents, and procedural materials • Generate accommodation reports and analyze testing data and compliance trends • Collaborate with compliance staff, counselors, administrators, testing coordinators, data teams, nurses, service providers, and ARD committees • Partner with lead counselors to monitor graduation requirements and EOC completion
• Valid Special Education Texas Teaching Certificate or comparable state educator certification • Texas residency; residents of states contiguous to Texas may also be considered • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Educational Leadership, Counseling or related field • Three (3) years of experience in Special Education services, compliance, assessment coordination, or related educational roles • Experience participating in ARD/IEP processes and accommodation planning • Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations • Knowledge of Texas Education Agency (TEA) assessment policies and accommodation guidelines • Knowledge of ARD/IEP processes and documentation requirements • Knowledge of state and local assessment administration procedures • Knowledge of test security and confidentiality requirements • Knowledge of special education compliance and monitoring procedures • Knowledge of assistive technology and accommodation supports for students with disabilities • Exceptional organizational and project management skills • Data analysis and reporting skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Documentation review and audit skills • Training and presentation skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines during high-volume testing periods • Ability to interpret and apply complex testing regulations and compliance requirements • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders • Accuracy and attention to detail in data management and monitoring activities • Ability to provide leadership and guidance in complex accommodation and assessment situations • Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel) proficiency • Ability to travel 25% of the time • Ability to clear required background check
