📋 Description

• Assess, diagnose, treat, and help prevent communication and swallowing disorders in children • Screen and evaluate students with speech-language impairments • Provide speech-language therapy • Document student performance • Support student support team (SST)/response to intervention (RTI) processes • Manage speech-only caseloads • Monitor compliance for speech-only case managers • Monitor compliance with regulations • Instruct students and families in using appropriate communication technologies, including alternative augmentative communication devices • Maintain files and records, including progress reports, activity logs, treatment plans, and reports • Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars to convey and gather information • Work with school and community/family partnerships through a student-centered instructional model

🎯 Requirements

• South Carolina Department of Education Certification required • South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Speech-Language Pathology Licensure required • Must reside in South Carolina or surrounding states • Open to surrounding states: North Carolina, Georgia • Must be able to obtain a South Carolina certification • Master's degree in speech language pathology and three (3) years of speech/language work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Highly knowledgeable about Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) due process requirements • Thorough knowledge and skill in conducting/interpreting comprehensive speech-language evaluations • Thorough knowledge and skill in providing speech-language therapy services • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members to plan and deliver speech-language services to children • Ability to create and deliver staff development • Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong organizational and time management skills • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Web proficiency • Ability to travel 20% of time for meetings, professional development, etc. • Ability to pass background check requirements • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Management experience desired
