📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content and provide instruction, support, and guidance in an online environment • Manage the learning process and focus on students’ individual needs • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance student learning toward established goals • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools under guidance from the principal and coach • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to student performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting issues • Travel as required, on average once per month and/or up to 20% of the time

🎯 Requirements

• Strongly prefer residents of Indiana • May consider residents of Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, or Illinois • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data and use it to drive instructional decisions • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Experience working with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children in using technology • Experience teaching in an online/virtual and/or brick-and-mortar environment • Experience with online learning platforms
