• Support customer relationships with builders, contractors, and subcontractors in the Southeast region • Coordinate with branch and company efforts to profitably grow the business • Improve builders' and contractors' knowledge of Strong-Tie products and system solutions • Coordinate and support training sessions and workshops, including scheduling, promotion, setup, presentation, and takedown • Collaborate with National Builder Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Product Management, Marketing, and field sales representatives on sales initiatives • Communicate market trends and field intelligence to Management and Operations • Identify opportunities and understand competitive market conditions and industry trends • Manage assigned accounts, prioritize customer activities, and recommend sales opportunities • Assist local sales representatives with implementing and improving the Builder Program • Promote Simpson Strong-Tie at trade shows, association meetings, committees, and educational events • Work with Marketing and Product Management to introduce new products and identify potential products and tools • Maintain CRM usage, scheduling, business planning, expense reports, and company-owned vehicles
• 1–3 years of industry experience and/or training • Fluent in residential construction practices and distribution channels • Strong working knowledge of project workflow from architect/engineer to contractor • Ability to develop and present captivating presentations and use sales skills • Ability to build and sustain productive customer relationships • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Proficient knowledge of Salesforce CRM and SAP ERP • Practical working knowledge of the residential housing industry • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university preferred • Sales and account management experience with a proven track record of sales/profit growth preferred • Ability to stand, walk, sit, see, talk, and hear • Ability to occasionally push or lift up to 50 lbs. • Ability to travel domestically up to 60% of the time • Successful drug screen and criminal background check required for job offer
