📋 Description

• Build and train computer vision models for sports video, including player/ball detection, multi-object tracking, pose/keypoints, event/action recognition, and identity association (re-ID) • Own the experimentation loop from hypotheses and ablations through error analysis and measurable improvements • Design and maintain task-appropriate evaluation metrics, dataset slices, and failure taxonomies • Improve data efficiency through augmentations, sampling strategies, label-noise handling, and weak/self-supervision • Prototype and iterate on transformer-based detection/tracking, temporal models, and multi-task architectures • Collaborate on dataset and labeling design, including formats, schemas, tooling, and versioning • Help productionize models through packaging, batch/stream inference patterns, throughput/latency tradeoffs, and robustness checks • Add quality gates for reproducibility, automated evaluation, and regression detection • Partner with data and platform teammates to ensure computer vision work ships reliably

🎯 Requirements

• Strong applied computer vision experience with hands-on model development, not just running existing repositories • Solid PyTorch skills, including training loops, debugging, vision data pipelines, and DDP basics • Comfort with video computer vision fundamentals, including occlusion, identity switches, temporal consistency, calibration, and domain shift • Strong Python engineering skills and a bias toward measurable outcomes • Sports video computer vision or adjacent-domain experience is a bonus • Experience with FFmpeg, WebDataset/shards, or streaming/batching to GPUs is a bonus • MLOps/production experience with model packaging, CI for training/evaluation, serving via Triton/TorchServe, and monitoring is a bonus
