📋 Description
• Work denials, appeals, and aging reports • Follow up on medical claims that have not been paid timely • Contact insurance companies to determine why claims have not been processed • Send medical records • Contact patients regarding additional information needed to process claims • Work with coding on denials
🎯 Requirements
• High School graduate or equivalent • Medical terminology • One to three years' experience in health care industry with third party reimbursement, collections and public contact • Computer experience required for billing, word-processing and spread sheet entry • Excel spreadsheet experience required • Medical billing denials and claims experience required
