📋 Description

• Serve as the pre-service point of contact for patients • Obtain information needed to pre-register and financially clear patients before day-of-service delivery • Handle non-clinical referrals and authorization coordination • Follow up on unbilled accounts • Enhance the patient experience during all patient interactions • Provide customer service by demonstrating knowledge of Sutter's Health system and service offerings

🎯 Requirements

• HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) • Working knowledge of medical and insurance terminology • Working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations • Time management skills and ability to manage frequent telephone patient contacts while maintaining and documenting data in patient registration systems • Ability to utilize phone, fax, patient portal, e-mail, physician portal, mail, and other communication modes professionally and accurately • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in multiple computer systems, including patient registration/accounting systems, document imaging, scanning, payment posting, proprietary payer websites, and data quality monitoring • Strong data entry skills • Verbal and written communication and active listening skills • Interpersonal skills for dealing with internal and external customers • Accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in a potentially stressful environment • Ability to maintain confidential information
