📋 Description

• Support Sysco Site and Inbound Supply Chain Organization objectives by coordinating movement of products from supplier locations to Sysco facilities • Optimize inbound logistics programs to reduce freight expenses and maximize freight profitability • Use the Transportation Management System to plan, optimize, and tender freight to contracted carriers within 24 hours of purchase order creation • Review loads and purchase orders for correct dates, lead times, and carrier tendering • Partner with Supply Chain Inventory Management, Operations, and third-party carriers to resolve inbound logistics freight issues • Resolve recalled or rejected tenders within two business hours • Identify trends and mitigate excess costs and service erosion • Review suppliers for potential CPU conversions • Negotiate spot rates with carrier partners when necessary • Review, approve, and resolve accessorial charges and WIP • Perform daily tasks in Inbound Logistics, Claim Resolution, or Inbound Command Center functions • Investigate overage, shortage, and damage claims and determine responsible parties • Prepare, file, follow through on, and close carrier claims • Maintain data and record integrity • Analyze and optimize inbound capacity settings, monitor inbound demand versus dock capacity, and drive resolution of operational issues • Provide backup support to team members, including RDC Capacity Planner

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent • Minimum of 3 years of logistics/supply chain experience or equivalent combination of education and experience • Knowledge of US DOT Regulations, Hours of Service, Weight Limitations, and US Geography • Knowledge of freight claim laws and regulations • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Ability to handle multiple tasks and details with accuracy • Good organization and time management skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis without future employment sponsorship • Ability to sit, stand, walk, use a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone, and occasionally lift/move up to 20 pounds
