📋 Description

• Own monthly benefits reconciliation across all carriers and both legal entities • Identify, research, and resolve billing discrepancies • Maintain data integrity between HRIS, payroll, and carrier systems • Manage medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), and voluntary/ancillary benefits programs • Manage ACA compliance, affordability and eligibility tracking, measurement periods, and IRS reporting • Prepare and file 1094-C/1095-C forms and respond to IRS notices • Ensure compliance with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, PCORI, and applicable state benefits mandates • Lead the transition from level funded or fully insured medical plans to self funded plans • Manage plan design, stop loss selection, implementation timelines, funding models, and claims exposure models • Partner with Finance, Legal, HRIS, Payroll, brokers, TPAs, and stop loss carriers • Own the full open enrollment cycle, including strategy, vendor coordination, system configuration, testing, communications, and post-enrollment audit • Analyze benefit utilization, cost trends, and market benchmarking data • Manage broker and carrier relationships, renewals, RFPs, and service-level accountability • Manage escalated benefits inquiries and educate cross-functional teams • Build and maintain SOPs and process documentation for benefits operations and audit readiness

🎯 Requirements

• 5 to 8+ years of progressive employee benefits experience, including direct plan ownership • Strong working knowledge of ACA reporting, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and PCORI requirements • HRIS experience, including ADP Workforce Now or similar • Strong Excel and analytical skills • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience • Direct, hands-on experience leading a transition from a level funded or fully insured medical plan to self funded • Experience with funding arrangement design, stop loss procurement, and financial risk modeling • Proven ownership of benefits reconciliation, including monthly carrier billing audits, eligibility discrepancies, and payroll/HRIS/carrier data integrity • Deep benefits compliance and ACA management and reporting experience, including affordability testing, eligibility tracking, and 1094-C/1095-C filing • Full lifecycle open enrollment ownership • Multi-entity and/or multi-state benefits administration experience preferred • Experience supporting benefits in a fast-paced healthcare, clinical, or matrixed organization preferred • Experience maintaining a benefits knowledge base and ticketing system preferred • CEBS, CBP, or equivalent HR/benefits certification preferred • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; Talkiatry participates in E-Verify
