📋 Description

• Assist the Target Construction Project Manager with Guaranteed Maximum Review (Gmax) • Ensure contractors receive construction materials, equipment, and fixtures • Inspect materials, equipment, and fixtures for damage • Reconcile quantities received with purchase orders • Submit required reports to Target Headquarters • Assist in resolving contractual disputes • Oversee contractors, vendors, and installers • Ensure work is accurate, complete, compliant with plans, and meets quality standards • Inspect General Contractor Quality Control programs • Participate in developing and managing project schedules • Manage site work, building construction, and installation activities • Facilitate communication with Target Properties and Store Operations teams • Implement strategies and best practices for consistency • Manage change and resolve communication conflicts, delays, and performance problems • Provide partner feedback and propose program enhancements • Orient store management and Property Management teams to new buildings • Deliver Construction Turnover Packages to Store Operations and Building Services partners • Mentor new OSRs • Troubleshoot problem jobs as assigned by the Sr. Manager, Field Construction

🎯 Requirements

• 4-year degree in Construction Management/Engineering or equivalent experience • 10+ years of on-site construction management experience • Expert ability to interpret engineering documents • Ability to evaluate construction estimates • Ability to prepare construction reports, schedules, and other documents • Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Proven ability to coach and mentor others • Ability to implement new processes for improved productivity for field personnel • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office/Office 365 programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Skype for Business • Knowledge of construction-based project management software and smartphone/tablet applications, including PlanGrid, Procore, Trello, Slack, Kanban, and Smartsheet • Requires near 100% travel • Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location unless otherwise prescribed by Target
