📋 Description

• Collect data and apply data wrangling, profiling, visualization, statistical inference, and other data science techniques • Own the end-to-end decisioning and pricing optimization engine • Use large-scale historical and market data to form hypotheses and conduct analyses • Develop, evaluate, and implement machine learning models • Drive business decisions through analytical insights • Analyze large-scale data and apply statistical models to solve business objectives • Collaborate with business partners to refine business strategies and analyze alternative deal structures • Deliver business P&L expectations • Stay current on industry trends and optimization methodologies in auto finance markets • Lead complex, highly visible, strategic, and enterprise-impacting data science projects autonomously • Create and deliver analytical presentations for executive audiences and stakeholders • Guide business leaders in prioritizing needs and provide strategic analytical insights • Set direction and oversee other Data Science professionals • Provide consultative and strategic guidance to executive leadership • Translate business problems into viable data science solutions • Visualize insights and communicate findings to decision-makers • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, sustainable data science solutions • Provide technical leadership in specialized data science areas and emerging projects • Lead cross-functional teams building advanced analytic solutions • Identify analytical trends and data needs, generate hypotheses, and create analytical models • Identify and manage risks, escalating high-risk activities • Create and implement systems and processes to extract knowledge from data • Participate in enterprise initiatives as a data science subject matter expert • Lead remediation plans for performance, risk, and governance issues • Maintain relationships with business lines and stakeholders • Mentor colleagues and contribute to team development • Keep stakeholders informed about project progress • Act as a brand ambassador for TD

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience • Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred, such as mathematics, physics, engineering, finance, or computer science • Graduate degree preferred • Progressive project work experience may qualify alongside preferred education • Higher degree education and research tenure can be counted • Expertise in data science concepts, principles, practices, and standards • Extensive understanding of the supported business and overall bank • Highly specialized knowledge of analytical concepts and techniques • Proficiency with programming languages such as Python • Experience extracting and preparing data from structured and unstructured sources • Knowledge of statistics, statistical inference, data mining, and advanced analytics • Business acumen for translating business problems into data science solutions • Ability to develop machine learning models and optimization methodologies • Knowledge of auto finance markets • Ability to visualize data and communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to collaborate with data analysts, business analysts, software engineers, data engineers, application developers, and business process owners • Ability to manage risks and comply with enterprise, regulatory, and governance requirements • Ability to perform sedentary work and operate standard office equipment • Occasional domestic travel
