• Provide specialized centralized governance and control advice and support to management, leadership, and relevant teams • Lead implementation of governance and control initiatives supporting business or functional strategy • Manage centralized governance and control work activities requiring coordination across multiple areas • Review processes and controls and connect issues and control deficiencies to increase standardization • Support or manage integrated implementation of policies, processes, procedures, and changes across functional areas • Provide subject matter expertise to projects and initiatives • Identify, design, and test solutions and support implementation activities • Ensure programs, policies, and practices are well managed, meet business needs, and comply with internal and external requirements • Conduct research projects and support development and delivery of materials and presentations • Lead workstreams as project lead or SME for medium-scale projects and initiatives • Identify and manage risks and escalate non-standard or high-risk activities • Maintain a culture of risk management and control aligned with risk appetite • Keep stakeholders informed about project status and progress • Contribute to team capability development through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and best practices • Participate as a team member and support a positive, equitable work environment
• Undergraduate degree preferred • Broad and deep knowledge of business and risk and control environment • 5+ years of relevant experience • In-depth business knowledge/expertise in own domain or field of specialty • Working knowledge of broader related areas • Knowledge of industry, competition, and organizational differentiators • Ability to apply best practices to process, product, or service improvements • Ability to lead moderately to complex projects or functional programs • Ability to solve complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables and stakeholder consultation • Advanced methods for contributing to new solutions and recommending standards • Ability to interpret guidelines, standards, policies, and analysis results for senior-level decision-making • Ability to work independently as a subject matter expert or lead and guide others • Knowledge of governance, controls, policies, processes, risk management, and control frameworks • Ability to conduct research projects and develop or deliver materials and presentations • Ability to identify and manage risks and escalate high-risk activities • Ability to keep current with emerging trends, business tools, and techniques • Ability to mentor others and transfer knowledge
