📋 Description

• Lead full-cycle HCM/payroll system implementations from kickoff through go-live and post-launch support • Build and manage project plans, timelines, and milestones • Keep clients and internal stakeholders aligned throughout projects • Validate, clean, and migrate payroll, HR, and historical data • Configure HCM/payroll settings, including pay groups, earnings/deductions, workflows, tax setup, and reporting • Train client administrators and end users • Drive adoption through structured change management • Own ongoing optimization for existing clients by reviewing configuration, workflows, and reports • Stay current on HCM/payroll vendor updates, features, and releases • Recommend and implement platform changes • Serve as the client’s day-to-day point of contact • Translate technical details into clear, practical guidance • Partner with managed payroll/HR and concierge teams for post-go-live handoff and support continuity • Identify and troubleshoot data or configuration issues, escalating to vendor partners when needed

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in payroll, HR, or HCM, ideally including hands-on implementation, configuration, migration, or system optimization work • Working familiarity with one or more major HCM/payroll platforms, such as Paylocity, Paycor, Paycom, Rippling, or similar • Strong project management skills • Ability to balance new implementations and ongoing client optimization work simultaneously • Excellent attention to detail, especially regarding payroll data accuracy, tax setup, and compliance • Clear, confident written and verbal communication • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Consultative, client-first mindset • Genuine interest in long-term client relationships • Continuous-improvement mentality • Comfort working independently in a fully remote environment • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Excel/spreadsheets • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms is a plus • Payroll or HR certification, such as CPP, FPC, PHR, or SHRM-CP, is a plus but not required
