📋 Description

• Write at least two long-form scripts per month, typically 8–10 minutes each • Write occasional Shorts in Mr. Spherical’s voice • Pitch stories about history, geopolitics, and world events • Develop ideas independently and ideas shared by the Creative Director • Research stories and fact-check content • Preserve important context while incorporating comedy • Write character-driven scenes with sharp dialogue and visual humour • Hook viewers early and maintain story momentum • Create setups that pay off and endings that bring the story together • Work through notes and rewrites with the Creative Director • Incorporate direction and feedback and obtain final approval

🎯 Requirements

• Experience writing long-form YouTube videos, with examples to show • Strong comedy, character writing, and storytelling skills • Understanding of YouTube pacing and audience retention • Ability to research unfamiliar historical, geopolitical, and current-events topics • Ability to verify facts and handle sensitive topics • Ability to turn research into clear, engaging stories • Comfortable owning scripts from pitch through revisions • Ability to meet agreed deadlines • Work that has reached hundreds of thousands or millions of views, with ability to explain what helped it connect • Experience in history or geopolitics is valuable • Strong comedy and character-driven storytelling take priority
