📋 Description

• Own and scale the Global Deal Desk function • Serve as the primary escalation path for non-standard deal structures, pricing exceptions, and complex approvals • Design and maintain deal approval workflows, pricing guardrails, discounting frameworks, and escalation policies • Lead CPQ strategy, configuration, and governance with GTM Systems • Operationalize Temporal’s consumption-based pricing model within Deal Desk • Document, review, and enforce usage commitments, ramp structures, drawdown mechanics, and true-up provisions • Develop commercial frameworks for international markets with GTM Operations and Sales leadership • Account for regional pricing, local currency, tax, and legal entity considerations • Connect Sales, Finance, Legal, and GTM Operations on deal-level issues • Partner with Finance on revenue recognition implications and maintain clean audit trails • Build Deal Desk playbooks, templates, and self-serve resources • Drive adoption and optimization of AI tools in Deal Desk workflows • Own Deal Desk reporting and analytics, including deal velocity, exception rates, approval turnaround time, non-standard term frequency, and discount trends • Recruit, develop, and grow Deal Desk capacity and team structure

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Deal Desk, GTM Operations, Sales Operations, or a related commercial operations function • Direct ownership of deal structuring and approval workflows • Experience designing or operationalizing Deal Desk processes for consumption, usage-based, or hybrid pricing models • Experience with quoting ramp structures, commitment tiers, true-up mechanics, and revenue recognition implications • Hands-on experience administering and evolving a CPQ platform, such as Nue, DealHub, Conga, or equivalent • Experience with product catalog management, pricing rule configuration, approval workflow design, and cross-functional governance • Experience structuring and approving deals across multiple geographies • Working knowledge of regional commercial, legal, and tax considerations, including local currency, local entity contracting, regional pricing, and VAT/GST • Hands-on experience using AI tools for deal review, quote generation, commercial data analysis, or automation • Deep understanding of SaaS commercial constructs, including multi-year agreements, ramp deals, ELAs, co-termination, and consumption commitments • Understanding of revenue recognition under ASC 606 • Ability to work credibly with Sales, Finance, Legal, and GTM Operations • Strong analytical ability and ability to communicate findings to senior leadership • Ability to build scalable processes, playbooks, and policies • Salesforce experience required
