📋 Description

• Implement features in the Temporal Proxy codebase, contributing production-quality code primarily in Go or a comparable systems language • Build and improve request handling, configuration, authentication/authorization integrations, and encryption-related hooks • Add and maintain logs, metrics, and traces • Contribute to debugging issues in staging and production environments • Write and maintain unit and integration tests • Collaborate with engineers across CGS, Security, Infra Foundations, and OSS Server • Contribute documentation, examples, and improvements to make the proxy easier to adopt and operate • Help consolidate multiple proxy implementations into a single extensible, open-source, productized solution for customers and Temporal Cloud infrastructure

🎯 Requirements

• Proficiency in Go or another systems language • Working knowledge of service-to-service communication and distributed systems basics, including HTTP/gRPC and reliability fundamentals • Familiarity with security fundamentals such as mTLS, JWT, and OIDC/OAuth concepts • Ability to implement scoped solutions end-to-end, including testing and documentation • 3+ years of experience with proxy/gateway systems, cloud networking, service mesh concepts, or security-oriented infrastructure (nice to have) • Experience with observability tooling and operational practices (nice to have) • Contributions to open source (nice to have) • Familiarity with Temporal concepts or strong interest in learning the platform (nice to have)
