📋 Description

• Design and evolve tooling for production-like test cells that resemble production topology, configuration, and behavior • Build workload generation, multi-tenant testing, stress/load testing, and traffic replay or replay-like capabilities • Create tooling for repeatable failure-mode testing, including latency, dependency faults, resource exhaustion, degraded-state recovery, and region-level failures • Identify hard-to-test system-level scenarios and implement repeatable continuous or release validation coverage • Build shared libraries, harnesses, and patterns for system and integration testing • Mentor engineers and influence testing strategy through design documents, code reviews, and cross-team collaboration • Partner with Cloud/Infrastructure, Reliability, and Release Engineering to convert incident learnings into pre-production coverage and release-pipeline validations

🎯 Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals • Experience building and operating production-quality systems, including platforms, infrastructure, developer tooling, or distributed systems • Demonstrated technical leadership of ambiguous, cross-team initiatives • Experience with observability, debuggability, and operational readiness, including metrics, logs, tracing, safe rollouts, and failure analysis • Ability to collaborate across Cloud/Infrastructure, Reliability, Release Engineering, and product teams • Strong written communication skills for design documents, testing strategy proposals, and documentation • Experience with chaos engineering, fault injection, workload replay/shadowing, performance testing, or multi-tenant test strategy is nice to have • Experience building internal engineering platforms, paved roads, self-serve environments, or shared frameworks is nice to have • Familiarity with measuring engineering/system outcomes is nice to have
