📋 Description

• Provide daily support, mentoring, and training to new hires and existing Patient Access staff • Assist in managing escalated issues • Assist with short- and long-range planning recommendations for Registration Process areas, including Admitting, Centralized Scheduling, Emergency Department, and clinics • Maintain positive customer service and assist staff in resolving issues • Enforce departmental policies, practices, procedures, and work rules • Assist in developing and implementing new policies according to hospital and corporate guidelines • Monitor daily activity and complete performance and metric reports, including financial clearance reports • Perform special projects and reporting as assigned • Perform all Patient Access functions as needed • Act as part of the management team to ensure operational goals are met • Interview, hire, train, plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems • Supervise Rep, PA I-IV direct reports

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent • 4 plus years experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area • Thorough knowledge of computer systems in Health Care Information System • Clear understanding of Revenue Cycle Management and Regulatory Agencies • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills • Demonstrated leadership abilities • Ability to receive and express detailed information through oral and written communications • Must be available to work hours and days as needed based on departmental/system demands • Must be “on-call” as needed • Must obtain and provide confirmation of required vaccinations and screenings prior to employment, as applicable and permitted by law • College degree preferred • 5 plus years experience in Patient Access preferred • 2 plus years in supervisory or lead role preferred • 2 or 4 year college degree in Business, Accounting, Medical Administration or related area preferred • Must be able to work in sitting position
