📋 Description

• Set up vendors • Input invoices and bills into the AP system • Ensure bills are paid on time • Communicate with department leads • Enforce expenditure approval processes for purchasing and payments • Reconcile credit card transactions • Process employee expenses • Create and process purchase orders • Support the accruals process • Prepare general journal entries supporting bank reconciliations • Prepare month-end and quarter-end working papers • Prepare bank reconciliations • Identify process-improvement opportunities within accounts payable • Keep the AP close calendar on track, ensuring invoices, approvals, and reconciliations are completed on schedule • Flag issues proactively and handle ad hoc work • Collaborate with a small accounting team in a fast-paced, early-stage environment

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with the accounts payable function, or equivalent experience in audit or corporate accounting • Eagerness to learn and contribute ideas while building AP experience • Basic knowledge of accounting principles • Track record of consistently meeting recurring deadlines in a high-volume, detail-heavy role • Ability to manage and prioritize a queue of tasks reliably, escalating when needed • Good attention to detail • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to adapt to a system conversion as the company grows • Optimistic and flexible with change • Preferred: experience managing a recurring close process from start to finish
