📋 Description

• Perform field testing, observation, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel • Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding site requirements and testing results • Transport material samples and identifying documentation to laboratories for further testing and analysis • Tabulate, prepare, and submit written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager • Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas • Assist with scheduling and dispatching technicians to project sites • Perform basic data analysis to verify accuracy before submission • Assist higher-level technicians with complex tasks • Maintain assigned equipment and calibration • Follow safety rules, perform pre-task planning, report safety concerns, and maintain project quality standards

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training and related experience • Experience using laptop computers and Microsoft Word and Excel • Willingness to travel up to 100% and for extended periods without the ability to travel home • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including overtime, weekends, and extended shifts • A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required • ACI certification in Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I and/or Concrete Strength Testing Technician • Certification in radiation safety and Nuclear Density Gauge operation • Successful completion of related internal safety certifications • Ability to perform testing, observation, inspection, documentation, and basic data analysis • Ability to work independently with limited supervision • Ability to adapt to changing project environments, jobsite conditions, and team structures • Strong safety mindset and ability to identify hazards and follow safety procedures • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
