• Develop and implement Materials or Environmental Licensing Project Plans • Develop, execute, and maintain schedules for preparing and obtaining regulatory approval of licensing submittals • Plan, coordinate, organize, and execute ongoing materials or environmental licensing activities • Develop, review, and submit environmental permit applications aligned with NRC, NEPA, and EPA requirements • Prepare for meetings, submittals, and interactions with regulatory authorities • Work with partner organizations to support materials or environmental licensing activities • Manage interactions and communications with regulatory authorities • Develop materials or environmental licensing submittals and implement the licensing strategy • Work with design authority or design engineering groups to ensure timely engineering products supporting licensing activities • Participate in industry groups and forums and implement lessons learned and industry best practices at TerraPower • Assist with development of the Environmental Report for the license application • Assist in managing interactions with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, other regulatory authorities, and industry groups • Report to the Sr. VP, Regulatory Affairs
• Bachelor’s degree with a strong experience base in the nuclear field; advanced degree is preferred • Capability and willingness to adhere to strict quality assurance standards • 10-15 years of direct materials and/or environmental licensing experience • 10-15 years of direct experience with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission • 10-15 years of direct experience in project management • Excellent communication skills, team orientation, willingness to operate within a matrix organization, and ability to direct remote team members • Experience working with plant design teams is desirable • Experience with advanced reactors is desirable but not mandatory • Self-starter with ability to manage deadlines • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Professional • High degree of trust and integrity, open communication, respect, and desire to foster teamwork • Ability to sit for extended periods, bend/stoop, grasp/grip, and perform fine motor tasks • Ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds • Ability to perform prolonged repetitive work • Visual and audio-focused work • Ability to work with stairs, typing/keyboard, and a standard and/or sitting environment for more than 8 hours per day • Willingness/ability to travel 10-30% • Must identify U.S. citizenship or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident status for export-control review; foreign nationals are subject to U.S. Government export-control requirements
