📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end business analysis efforts for VA systems and applications from discovery through implementation and validation • Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions with VA stakeholders, end users, product owners, and subject matter experts • Analyze, document, and manage business requirements, user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria • Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements and collaborate with architects, developers, and testers • Serve as the primary liaison between business and technical teams • Use Jira to create, refine, and maintain epics, user stories, tasks, and defects • Support Agile ceremonies and maintain a well-defined, prioritized development backlog • Develop and maintain business process models, data flow diagrams, interface specifications, and traceability matrices • Perform impact analysis for change requests and enhancements • Collaborate with QA/testing teams on test case creation and user acceptance testing • Mentor and guide other business analysts and support standardization of analysis practices • Communicate status, risks, and issues to project leadership and stakeholders • Ensure work products comply with VA security, accessibility, and data privacy standards

🎯 Requirements

• Public Trust security clearance • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role, including experience in a lead or senior capacity • Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements for complex IT systems • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams • Hands-on experience using Jira as a ticketing and Agile work management system • Ability to translate business needs into clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail and quality
