📋 Description

• Provide telehealth consultations exclusively for Medical Group patients • Consult and treat patients virtually through clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic telehealth medical services • Provide virtual urgent care and virtual primary care services • Perform related administrative services, including meeting attendance, in-basket management, and provider cross-coverage • Participate or lead within a designated Primary Care team structure • Supplement primary care work with urgent care as the provider panel is established • Participate in Medical Staff activities, clinical chart reviews, compliance training, continuing medical education, committees, quality improvement, and patient safety review • Prepare timely and accurate medical records • Meet or exceed quality and clinical competency goals • Collaborate on workflows, policies, and procedures for the virtual primary care hybrid care model • Mentor colleagues and supervise APRNs in compliance with state requirements • Take on additional tasks as reasonably requested

🎯 Requirements

• MD/DO with ABMS Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice • Board certification for minimum of two (2) years • Minimum four (4) years post residency experience in primary care setting • Obtain and maintain licenses to practice medicine in the appropriate states, as requested • Obtain and maintain all approvals to prescribe and dispense drugs under applicable state and federal laws • Establish and maintain active participation in Medicare and Medicaid as an approved participating provider • Apply for, obtain, and/or maintain active medical staff privileges at MDLIVE • Maintain Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) licensure • Participate in regular Medical Staff activities and responsibilities • Complete all MDLIVE telemedicine training, including annual compliance training • Complete continuing medical education per medical board and state licensure requirements • Meet or exceed quality metrics, clinical competencies, patient satisfaction, connectivity SLA, and Medical Group standards • Ability to provide high quality care using verbal, written, and analytical skills with a high level of empathy • Leadership within care team • Ability to interact with patients, nursing, call center agents, colleagues, and senior leadership • Candidates with multiple state licenses preferred • Telehealth experience a plus • Ability to work a minimum of 40 clinical hours per week, including 35 hours of direct patient care and 5 hours of administrative time • Supervision of APRNs in compliance with state requirements • Cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload when working from home
