📋 Description

• Support IT governance and oversight, risk assessment, and security awareness across the clinical research environment • Conduct internal auditing and evidence collection for HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR, and SOC 2 compliance • Perform Vendor Risk Management assessments, onboarding, and ongoing reviews for trial sponsors, CROs, and technology partners • Conduct Business Impact Analysis and Sensitive Data Reviews for clinical trial data, PHI, and PII • Perform User Rights Management and Privileged Access Management reviews for critical applications, including Entra ID, CrowdStrike, and clinical platforms • Support assessment, design, and implementation of technical controls aligned to CIS Controls v8 and NIST CSF v2 • Identify and recommend improvements to technical controls and processes • Partner with control owners and system administrators to ensure quality, consistency, and operability of controls • Review IT systems and tools for appropriate controls and processes • Review test findings, support remediation of IT control gaps, and escalate issues to security leadership • Validate and update IT documentation to keep processes, policies, and controls accurate and audit-ready • Support incident response activities and security operations functions as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field • 3+ years of audit, compliance, or technical experience, preferably in healthcare, life sciences, or clinical research environments • Excellent knowledge of IT security control trends and auditing and compliance best practices, including HIPAA, SOC 2, and NIST CSF • Experience with EDR/MDR platforms, SIEM, identity management (Entra ID), and vulnerability management solutions • Effective written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex IT controls and compliance issues • Positive attitude and strong commitment to delivering quality work in a mission-driven environment • Relevant training and/or industry certifications in auditing, compliance, or IT security, such as CISA, CISSP, Security+, or CISM • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm • Ability to meet demanding deadlines and time frames and continually update knowledge
