📋 Description

• Execute approved engineering projects and tasks to realize ROI and meet timelines • Communicate project progress to stakeholders and organize project reviews • Serve as a technical resource for composite and materials-related issues • Design and develop BMC and SMC compounds, products, processes, and materials • Develop and qualify new materials and support composite production and formulation changes • Manage process control and process documentation • Manage engineering change controls • Provide process engineering training on DMAIC and Six Sigma methodologies • Manage Green Belt continuous improvement projects • Manage A3 projects within budget and on time • Manage R&D budgets and projects • Lead FMEA and Control Plan initiatives • Specify installation requirements, develop statements of work, obtain bids/proposals, and install capital equipment • Assist manufacturing facilities with implementation of new processes and equipment • Produce technical reports and training documents on materials, processes, and equipment capabilities • Analyze data and report findings coherently • Identify, execute, and document continuous improvement opportunities and savings • Liaise with UL, NEMA, IEC, IEEE, and other industry associations

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in capital equipment procurement, specification, and installation • Project management competency • Background in materials and equipment in a manufacturing environment • Outstanding organizational skills and use of project management software • Performance-driven work ethic and desire for personal and professional growth • Ability to analyze complex data and perform statistical analyses • Essential software skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • FMEA and Control Plan facilitation experience • Communication skills in English • BS/MS in Engineering (ME, ChE, Materials Engineering) • OSHA competency in an industrial environment • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering environment • Experience in BMC and/or SMC compression molding or formulation development • Self-starter and team player able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment • Lean / Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement background and problem-solving skills • Travel required to support projects throughout the enterprise • Ability to work occasionally on the manufacturing floor
