📋 Description

• Manage assigned property claims from inspection through damage resolution • Perform residential and business property inspections in field, virtual, local territory, or catastrophe-deployment settings • Evaluate damages and review claim information, policy details, endorsements, deductibles, prior damage, photos, imagery, and documentation • Prepare estimates, document findings, manage supplements, and issue payments when appropriate • Partner with Inside Claim Representatives on ownership, handoffs, compliance, customer communications, and claim resolution • Utilize approved vendors and resources to support quality outcomes, customer service, and expense management • Support local territory work, catastrophe response, and changing business needs • Apply property-claims expertise, construction knowledge, estimating skills, and Xactimate proficiency • Serve as a property-damage resource across Personal Insurance, Business Insurance, and Catastrophe Claim Operations • Leverage AI-powered tools to improve claims-handling efficiency, quality, consistency, decision-making, and process improvement • Build relationships with customers, claim partners, vendors, contractors, and leadership • Drive resolution, make informed decisions, escalate issues appropriately, and represent The Hartford professionally

🎯 Requirements

• College degree and/or relevant work experience • Experience in property claims, construction, field adjusting, estimating, catastrophe response, or Xactimate preferred • Strong customer service, communication, negotiation, critical thinking, and organizational skills • Ability to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions, and handle challenging conversations professionally and empathetically • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn and leverage new technologies and tools • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused and collaborative approach • Availability for nationwide catastrophe operations, including deployments typically lasting 10–14 days and potentially longer • Must obtain and maintain required Property & Casualty Adjuster licenses • Must successfully complete applicable licensing exams within 30 business days from completion of licensing training • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company and insurance requirements for operating a company vehicle
