📋 Description

• Conduct policyholder ergonomic-focused needs assessments to identify loss sources, risk exposures, and improvement opportunities • Lead cost-benefit presentations and ROI discussions with decision makers • Develop service plans to reduce musculoskeletal claim frequency and severity and improve operational efficiency • Conduct job and workstation evaluations to identify musculoskeletal risks • Develop customized engineering and administrative controls • Assist insureds with policies, programs, procedures, work instructions, and training materials • Review ergonomics-related policies and programs and recommend changes • Review loss data and conduct trending analyses • Cultivate ergonomic success stories supported by exposure identification and cost-benefit presentations • Provide guidance and oversight and collaborate with Risk Engineering staff • Create tools, resources, and deliverables for Risk Engineering consultants and customers • Identify ergonomic intervention opportunities and elevate complex ergonomic work • Communicate trends, innovations, and solutions in ergonomics

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university is required • 3+ years of ergonomics consultation in insurance loss prevention or general industry is required • Academic focus on Occupational Safety and Health or Risk Management • Master’s degree in Ergonomics, Occupational Safety and Health, Human Factors Engineering or related field is preferred • Professional designation including CPE, CAE, AEP, CIE, etc. is recommended based on specialty • No licensing required • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in a safety related role • Property and casualty insurance experience highly desired • Ability to achieve or maintain 1 professional safety certification/designation, such as CSP, CIH, CPCU, CFPS, ARM, etc. • Knowledge and skill to handle all Survey and Service work assignments for all lines of business • Strong consultative skills and advanced skill level when providing service • Ability to demonstrate operational loss analysis reports and accident investigations • Ability to complete detailed ergonomic reports and service plans • Ability to provide consultative loss analysis and recommendations in business letters • Ability to provide safety training addressing losses, including Ergonomics • Ability to use the tools and products necessary to provide required services • Candidate must reside in the Northeast or Southeast
