📋 Description

• Manage all general ledger transactions • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements • Manage and reconcile large and complex data sets to ensure financial accuracy • Analyze discrepancies and resolve data variances in a timely manner • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline reconciliation processes • Prepare, file, and reconcile sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions • Research and ensure compliance with state and local sales tax regulations • Liaise with tax authorities to resolve discrepancies or inquiries • Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and company policies • Support the annual audit process by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries • Develop and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets • Support and mentor junior accountants and staff as needed • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company-wide initiatives • Deliver accurate monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules within 8 days of month-end • Scale sales tax accounting with company growth, including managing sales tax software • Identify and resolve variances promptly, addressing discrepancies within 8 business days

🎯 Requirements

• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Must be 18 years of age or older • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field • 5 years of accounting experience • Experience with sales tax reporting • Experience reconciling large data sets • Experience with treasury management • CPA designation strongly preferred • Experience in healthcare or long-term care insurance industries is a plus • Candidates must have a reliable internet connection and a designated work environment conducive to professional phone calls and sensitive data • Selected candidates may be required to undergo a background check and/or drug screen
