📋 Description

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair sophisticated analytical and scientific instruments • Deliver excellent field service to customers in research, industrial, and healthcare settings • Diagnose equipment issues down to the component level • Provide exceptional customer service • Train and support customers on equipment operation • Document service activities and prepare detailed reports • Respond to customer needs with short notice • Travel daily within the assigned territory, with up to 50% overnight travel • Work in various laboratory environments while following safety and quality standards

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience with field service, or military experience • 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Service Engineer preferred, particularly with analytical instrumentation • Preferred fields of study: Electronics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field • Additional relevant certifications advantageous • Strong electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including component-level diagnosis • Hands-on experience with molecular instrumentation (FTIR, Raman, UV-Vis) preferred • Excellent written and verbal customer service and communication skills • Strong organizational and time management capabilities • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and service management software • Valid driver's license • Ability to travel daily within assigned territory and up to 50% overnight • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various laboratory environments • Proficiency in English required; additional languages beneficial • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently • Adherence to safety protocols and quality standards • Ability to respond to customer needs with short notice • Ability to train and support customers on equipment operation • Experience documenting service activities and preparing detailed reports • Demonstrated success in meeting customer satisfaction goals • Ability to adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) safety standards and use required PPE
