📋 Description

• Work on a variety of control system projects • Lead project-related tasks and complicated large-scale projects • Provide engineering support on projects led by others • Assume ultimate responsibility for assigned projects and tasks • Lead, train, and mentor co-workers during system start-up and commissioning • Read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams • Provide feedback regarding field conditions versus drawings • Design complex control systems independently • Provide instrumentation specifications and value-engineer solutions • Lead detailed design of IT systems, network infrastructure, and computer systems related to control system integration • Design distributed HMI systems independently • Communicate with customers and provide customer care and support • Complete tasks and projects accurately, on schedule, and under budget • Serve as the main customer contact for assigned projects • Identify changes in scope • Manage and delegate assigned tasks • Estimate task duration and difficulty • Ensure realistic schedules and budgets • Direct and oversee junior or subordinate staff at project sites where applicable • Seek additional business through change orders, additional services, and referrals • Promote a positive, collaborative, professional work environment

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or other pertinent curriculum combined with relevant technical experience • Typically 7+ years total experience • 3+ years as Control Systems Project Engineer I or equivalent • Expert in reading and interpreting piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams • Experience with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) applications • Expert understanding and practice of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) • Firm understanding of complex control system design • Ability to independently design complex control systems • Ability to provide instrumentation specifications for complex control systems • Experience designing IT systems, network infrastructure, and computer systems as related to control system integration • Ability to independently design distributed HMI systems • Ability to communicate effectively and proactively with customers • Ability to follow customer-specific site standards and procedures • Ability to identify and manage risks • Ability to monitor progress and results of work • Valid driver’s license • Proof of eligibility to work in the country where the position is located • Fit for Duty at all times • Overnight travel may be required up to 50% • On-call rotation participation may be required based on location and client needs
