📋 Description

• Provide psychiatric evaluations to Medicaid patients • Manage medications and prescribe psychotropic medications • Provide ongoing psychiatric care • Deliver confidential virtual sessions through a telehealth system • Build and manage a diverse caseload through the referral network • Collaborate with therapists and other providers in a multidisciplinary care team • Develop patient-centered treatment plans • Help expand access to behavioral healthcare for Medicaid populations

🎯 Requirements

• Active, unrestricted PMHNP license in good standing in Virginia • National board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) • Prescriptive authority in Virginia • Active DEA registration in Virginia • Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and prescribing psychotropic medications, under supervision or independently • Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other digital tools • Quiet, HIPAA-compliant home office setup for confidential virtual sessions • Fluency in English • Strong clinical judgment managing psychiatric conditions across diverse populations • Patient-centered approach to medication management and treatment planning • Experience collaborating with therapists and other providers in a multidisciplinary care team • Commitment to equity in mental health access for Medicaid populations
