📋 Description

• Generate pipeline, advance opportunities, and drive revenue within a defined geography • Prospect and sell directly into county and city agencies, law enforcement, and public safety organizations • Own and exceed assigned territory quota and monthly/annual sales targets • Conduct outbound prospecting through phone, email, social media, and in-person engagement • Generate, qualify, and advance opportunities from initial outreach through close or handoff with Account Executives • Partner with Account Executives on active local government pursuits • Build relationships with county and municipal agencies, law enforcement, public safety organizations, and regional task forces • Develop understanding of local government procurement, including RFPs, cooperative purchasing agreements, piggyback contracts, grants, sole-source justifications, and budget cycles • Travel to prospect meetings, agency site visits, ride-alongs, and industry events • Conduct market analysis using competitor insights, policy trends, budget and grant developments, and customer feedback • Log activities, customer contacts, and pipeline updates in Salesforce • Participate in coaching, training, and collaboration • Represent Thomson Reuters and its cloud solutions, including Thomson Reuters CLEAR

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree • 1–3 years of sales, business development, or inside sales experience • Track record of meeting or exceeding activity and revenue targets • Interest in and willingness to learn local government structures • Willingness to learn local government procurement processes • Interest in local government and public safety priorities is a strong plus • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills • Active listening skills • Comfort with high-volume outbound activity, including cold calling, emailing, and social outreach • Proficiency in, or ability to quickly learn, Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms • Familiarity with social selling platforms such as LinkedIn and AI-powered sales tools • Willingness and ability to travel as required • Ability to align schedule with local agency and shift-based working hours • Familiarity with Thomson Reuters CLEAR or comparable investigative, skip-tracing, or intelligence platforms is a plus but not required • Coachable, curious, competitive, and self-directed with a positive, team-oriented attitude
