📋 Description

• Develop commercial legal and compliance content of national and global significance for Practical Law’s online services • Write and edit standard form documents, practice guidance notes, checklists, and other legal resources according to Practical Law writing style • Assist in the editorial development of Practical Law and Thomson Reuters products, including Global and AI initiatives • Establish and maintain relationships with external law firm contributors • Write and edit content for Practical Law The Journal • Monitor developments and legal issues relating to commercial contracting and practice • Update existing content and develop new content • Build relationships with private-practice lawyers, in-house counsel, and legal professional groups • Support AI initiatives by training AI for products and validating model performance • Support product development and sales and marketing teams • Conduct customer sales demonstrations and webinars as requested • Respond to subscriber inquiries regarding Practical Law resources

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum eight years’ experience working as a lawyer in a law firm or as in-house counsel • Understanding of the needs and priorities of law firm attorneys and in-house counsel • Expertise in commercial transactional and regulatory matters, including one or more of: general contract principles and boilerplate; government contracting; multi-state consumer regulatory issues and compliance; manufacturing and supply chain compliance; franchise; distribution, logistics, warehousing, and reseller transactions; e-commerce transactions; consulting, sales representative, and professional services arrangements • Strong project management skills • Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously • Skill and passion for legal writing • Close attention to detail • Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and plain English • Ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and simply • Ability to collaborate with and support team members • Flexibility to work on tasks beyond writing legal resources • Writing sample required for candidates selected for a second interview
