• Serve as a point of contact for intake, referrals, and triage of workforce policy and practice questions or concerns • Conduct initial reviews to identify applicable policy, potential risk, next steps, routing, or escalation • Complete early resolution and follow-up actions, including referrals to leaders or other business units • Conduct assigned investigations and investigative support activities, including intakes, planning, interviews, evidence and documentation review, fact-finding, findings, and recommendations • Partner with the Workforce Compliance and Ethics team on investigation guidance, support, recommendations, and remedial action considerations • Consult, advise, and influence leaders, Human Resources, Employment Law, Compliance, Corporate Security, and other stakeholders • Monitor case progress, follow up on open items, provide status reporting, and escalate complex or sensitive matters • Enter and retain documentation in designated repositories and maintain accurate tracking systems and data • Evaluate team-owned processes for efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness improvements • Apply playbooks, templates, documentation, and team processes to promote consistency, quality, and efficiency • Support data collection, trend reporting, and other reporting needs • Assist with policy, training, and communication efforts by translating data themes and recurring questions into practical materials • Support design, development, delivery, and completion follow-up for learning initiatives • Support ethics programs, including Conflicts of Interest, Business Gifts, policy governance, ethics culture measurement, and ethics award applications • Assist with reductions in force by responding to employee inquiries and supporting compliance and operational tasks • Provide cross-functional support for policy guidance, benchmarking research, advising, communication support, and special projects • Model Thrivent’s leadership competencies: Model the Way, Rally the Team, and Deliver Outcomes • Support continuous improvement, employee engagement, client commitment, and Thrivent’s purpose and values • Interact with employees, advisors, leaders, Human Resources, Employment Law, Compliance, Corporate Security, and enterprise partners
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, employment law, business, or related field; or equivalent work experience • Minimum 3+ years of employee relations, workforce investigations, ethics/compliance investigations, Human Resources, compliance, or related experience • Working knowledge of employment laws, including Title VII, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, and NLRA, and best practices • Experience supporting or conducting investigations, case intake, triage, or fact-finding work involving employment, conduct, ethics, and/or behavioral policy-related matters • Strong interviewing, listening, documentation, organization, prioritization, and follow-through skills • Ability to manage multiple matters with attention to detail • Ability to assess issues, apply policies and process guidance, and refer or escalate matters appropriately based on risk, sensitivity, or complexity • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to prepare clear case documentation and communicate effectively with workforce members and stakeholders • Strong relationship management skills and ability to build trust and rapport quickly • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and sound judgment • Strong business acumen, analytical and critical thinking skills • Ability to gather facts, identify relevant issues, and support accurate, consistent case handling • Knowledge of employment-related laws, regulations, policies, and investigation practices relevant to workforce concerns, or ability to quickly build that knowledge • Ability to use case management tools, documentation systems, and standard office technology, including AI, effectively • Demonstrated ability to protect sensitive information and model accountability and integrity • Prior experience in financial services preferred
