📋 Description

• Design and implement AI-assisted workflows using tools such as Claude Code and Figma MCP • Build a bidirectional bridge between Figma, prototypes, and production frontend code • Partner with Product Design on patterns, components, and workflows • Evolve Thumbprint with machine-readable documentation, MCP-friendly component metadata, and prototyping-platform integration • Partner with Developer Experience on AI agents and tooling, and Frontend Infrastructure on the web stack • Run office hours, prioritize user feedback, and ship improvements to product development workflows • Prototype and evaluate emerging AI development tools and recommend what Thumbtack should adopt and scale

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a frontend engineer building production product surfaces • Systems-thinking ability to reason about tooling, workflows, and platforms as well as features • Deep hands-on fluency with TypeScript, React, and surrounding build, test, and deploy tools • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex • Considered opinions about AI-assisted development tools’ limits, applications, and scalability • Track record of building tools and infrastructure adopted by engineers or non-engineers • Judgment about onboarding, documentation, and feedback loops that support adoption • Strong cross-functional collaboration with designers, PMs, and engineering teams • 6+ years of industry experience in software engineering
