📋 Description

• Design and implement secure, next-generation solutions supporting critical missions and the U.S. Navy • Collaborate with technical leaders, business stakeholders, developers, analysts, and users in multidisciplinary teams • Create mid-to-high fidelity wireframes and prototypes reflecting interaction design and user flow • Rapidly prototype application solution design, look, feel, and aesthetics • Apply branding, layout, and aesthetic principles to produce clean, professional interfaces • Execute visual design stages from concept through pre-production handoff to developers • Conduct user interviews and usability testing • Synthesize user research and feedback into actionable design insights • Prepare documentation for all developed user interfaces • Analyze user feedback against design requirements and incorporate findings into designs • Present and explain design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, user experience, and team performance • Design efficient and comprehensible user interfaces based on client requirements • Rapidly iterate designs based on team, user, and stakeholder feedback • Maintain current design specifications and explain usage intent to developers • Balance multiple design tasks, track dependencies, and deliver on sprint deadlines • Recommend and lead improvements to design processes, tools, or standards • Work with software development teams on iOS and Android mobile applications

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic/Web Design, Human Factors, Human-Centered Design, User Experience, web design/development, or IT related discipline • 4+ years professional human centered design experience • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance • United States Citizenship is required to be eligible to obtain this type of security clearance • Must reside in the continental United States • Employment authorization to work in the United States • Experience leading and applying HCD principles and best practices to application designs • Experience with UI/UX design/development • Proficiency in design, wireframing, and prototyping tools, especially Figma • Proficiency in graphic design • Knowledge of user needs, journey mapping, usability, accessibility, and iterative design processes • Experience with UI/X design, Human Factors, Human-Centered Design best practices and methodologies • High proficiency in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, collaboration, and developer handoff • Knowledge of visual hierarchy, WCAG accessibility standards, responsive/mobile-first design principles, and user-centered design principles • Skilled in design documentation, annotating designs, maintaining revision history, and organizing reusable assets • Foundational knowledge of HTML/CSS and how designs translate into code • Understanding of HCD within Agile ceremonies, sprints, backlog grooming, and working sessions • Familiarity with iOS and Android design guidelines • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment and manage expectations of customers and multiple teams • Active Secret security clearance preferred
