📋 Description

• Conduct site visits to assess existing turbine and/or generator condition • Supervise signature tests on units before disassembly at site • Participate in daily calls with site teams to answer questions and anticipate problems • Provide additional work recommendations after dismantling and inspection of existing components • Review and approve site record sheets • Resolve non-conformities and general issues • Conduct site visits during critical project phases • Support commissioning and testing phases • Resolve issues during warranty periods • Provide feedback from experience to the design team • Serve as the main site contact for operation and maintenance contracts • Design and prepare related documentation for service projects • Support customers with condition assessment, spare parts, part refurbishment, and partial unit refurbishment • Work within GE Vernova's Hydro division Fleet Reliability & Operation team on hydro turbine and generator rehabilitation and new projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the hydro business • Willingness and ability to travel in North America and around the world • Ability to work remotely in a team and communicate effectively • Must comply with pre-employment screening, including reference verification and background check • Must have unrestricted USA work authorization • Knowledge of Hydro Turbine and Generator design and erecting methods • Knowledge of calculation methods related to strength of materials, finite element simulation, metallurgy, and welding processes • PE license preferred
