📋 Description

• Take early People products to production and grow them into a suite of standalone products, plugins, and everyday tools • Build experiences providing personalized guidance, proactive support, and approved actions • Redesign workflows across Workday, Ashby, and other systems from approved headcount through onboarding • Build APIs and MCP connectors enabling AI tools to safely access context and complete workflows • Design permissioning for confidential People data, including identity, authorization, model access, retention, approvals, and audit • Partner with People Products & Data on instrumentation and AI evaluations • Create reusable building blocks for People team members to build simpler tools safely • Own products across React, TypeScript, service code, and data models • Set technical direction with non-engineering partners by shaping ambiguous problems, challenging scope, and proposing simpler solutions

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience • Experience owning systems end to end from ambiguous problem to production • Strong full-stack skills with React and TypeScript • Solid backend engineering skills; ability to pick up Go, PHP, or Python • Working knowledge of relational and non-relational data stores such as Postgres and DynamoDB • Knowledge of authentication, authorization, least-privilege access, auditability, and privacy-aware design • Experience building internal tools or business systems • Experience integrating with SaaS platforms through their APIs • Product judgment to determine what to build and what to cut • Comfort operating autonomously as the primary engineer on a product area • Track record of raising the technical bar for colleagues
