📋 Description

• Own and drive the end-to-end design process for Point of Sale experiences from discovery and concept development through high-fidelity execution • Translate order taking, modifications, payments, splits, and voids into fast, error-resistant, easy-to-learn experiences • Design for high-pressure restaurant-service environments and time-sensitive decisions • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Research across terminal and handheld surfaces • Create high-fidelity artifacts addressing edge cases, hardware contexts, restaurant types, and service styles • Use prototypes and storytelling to build alignment and communicate tradeoffs • Champion server and front-of-house perspectives in design decisions • Contribute to design critiques and collaboration • Integrate emerging AI-first tools and methods into design practice

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to use business metrics and user research to substantiate design decisions and drive impact • Portfolio showing a disciplined design process accounting for fine details, edge cases, and complex real-world constraints • Collaborative stakeholder-management skills • Ability to untangle ambiguity and break down complex workflows into intuitive end-to-end user journeys • Ability to design for speed and reliability and reduce friction • AI-first design approach for conceptual prototypes • Strong visual design skills across multiple surfaces • 3+ years in product design • Portfolio link required with application
