📋 Description

• Architect, implement, and maintain software systems that interact with or control network infrastructure • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot MikroTik RouterOS environments, including scripting, APIs, and policy enforcement • Design, build, and maintain efficient, security-hardened containerized services for resource-constrained and modern Linux-based environments • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and UX team members to turn user stories into performant, scalable capabilities, features, services, and applications • Integrate advanced network protocols focused on RADIUS, 802.1X, and related AAA technologies • Develop automation tools and network services for configuration, authentication, and device lifecycle management • Solve architectural and code-design challenges with cross-functional team members • Follow service design and code best practices and make scalable long-term decisions • Work within Agile methodology using two-week sprints • Identify and incorporate security requirements into the software development lifecycle • Participate in security reviews as needed • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices • Participate in an on-call rotation • Contribute to an AWS cloud-based central authentication platform used to securely connect hotel and multifamily-residence guests and residents to Wi-Fi internet

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in network-focused roles • Experience with MikroTik devices, RouterOS scripting, API integration, and configuration automation • Deep understanding of RADIUS, AAA workflows, 802.1X, EAP methods, and certificate-based authentication • Solid understanding of routing, switching, VLANs, firewalling, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and related network fundamentals • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code; CloudFormation preferred • Experience with RESTful API design and development • Experience in complex AWS systems, especially serverless architectures • Experience building scalable cloud services • Linux knowledge and comfort in CLI-driven environments preferred • Proven experience shipping product as part of an Agile team • Must be living in the United States • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
