• Provide travel services for VIP/Executive business travelers • Arrange domestic and international air, ground transportation, hotel, rail, car, car service, seat assignments, and other requested accommodations • Communicate with customers to determine destinations, transportation, dates, financial considerations, accommodations, and services • Interpret client instructions and assemble accurate travel arrangements • Understand international travel fares, pricing, resources, and documentation requirements • Manage upgrades and loyalty programs and follow through on service delivery • Anticipate client needs and execute accurate travel plans while resolving unexpected obstacles • Compute travel-service costs using GDS and other booking tools • Quality-control reservations before queuing for ticketing or quality control • Resolve customer service issues through leadership or vendor representatives and obtain approval when needed • Review, prioritize, summarize, and respond to correspondence and materials • Communicate itineraries, fare rules, confirmation numbers, cancellation policies, upgrades, preferences, industry updates, travel policies, and other required information • Maintain reservations in a completed state and monitor queues and tasks throughout the workday • Ensure team tasks are completed or reassigned by end of shift • Identify process-improvement opportunities with leadership • Collect customer payments according to client and CTM policies • Read daily briefings and industry announcements • Participate in training opportunities • Maintain working knowledge of GDS and account-specific products including CTM Advisor, Online Booking Tool, iQCX, Finisher, and Banx • Maintain productivity goals • Foster strong interdepartmental communication, team spirit, and customer service • Develop relationships with executive administrators, executive travelers, and vendors • Work outside regular shift during special events or crises • Monitor executive travelers' flights using Preview, Flight Stats, or PNR Monitor • Book personal travel for executives, family members, and travel companions • Arrange small corporate group travel and secure special group rates • Conduct initial introductions and interviews for executive traveler profiles and maintain profile updates • Mentor new or less experienced Travel Consultants • Maintain regular and reliable attendance and perform other duties as assigned
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required • Minimum of 2 years travel counselor experience booking corporate/business travel • Experience with Sabre GDS required • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to do basic math • Ability to read and interpret information and documents • Strong interpersonal skills and capability to work effectively with all levels • Professional written and verbal communication • Ability to meet deadlines and handle and prioritize simultaneous requests • Creative and analytical thinking with strong problem-solving and consultative skills • Calm under pressure; proactive contributor and eager to learn • Attention to detail • Strong communication and customer service skills • Working knowledge of technology and PC literacy • Proficient on GDS • Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task • Geography knowledge • Ability to keep business information confidential • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard situations • Must maintain regular and reliable attendance
