📋 Description

• Own the architecture and development of OleOle’s native iOS or Android application • Work with backend, product and design teams on social, messaging, video, live-score and payments functionality • Build native mobile applications using Swift/SwiftUI or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose • Integrate backend APIs and realtime services • Build social feeds, microblogging, short-form vertical video, encrypted messaging, realtime chat, voice and video calling • Implement contacts, invitations, user discovery, live scores, match events and push notifications • Integrate authentication, account management, secure sessions, wallets, payments and rewards • Implement localization and translation • Optimize startup, scrolling, media playback, networking, caching, battery usage and poor-network behavior • Own testing, debugging and production reliability • Take features from architecture through App Store or Google Play production release

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial native iOS or Android development • Expert-level Swift and production experience with SwiftUI, or expert-level Kotlin and production experience with Jetpack Compose • Experience architecting, building and shipping complex consumer mobile applications • Experience building a substantial product involving social feeds, messaging, short-form video, live content or realtime communications • Strong experience with WebSockets and realtime/event-driven mobile applications • Production experience with WebRTC or comparable voice/video calling technology • iOS: strong experience with AVFoundation; Swift concurrency; APNs; Keychain/secure storage; iOS lifecycle and App Store release • Android: strong experience with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow; CameraX; Media3/ExoPlayer; Firebase Cloud Messaging; Android Keystore/secure storage; Android lifecycle and Google Play release • Experience integrating complex backend APIs and working directly with backend engineers as APIs evolve • Strong understanding of networking, caching, memory management, mobile performance optimization and poor/intermittent network conditions • Strong debugging, profiling, testing and production troubleshooting skills • Demonstrated ability to independently own a major application or feature from architecture through production • Must be a hands-on engineer who writes production code, not primarily an engineering manager • Ability to adapt to ambiguity, shifting priorities and early-stage company growth • Understanding of football and international sports is a plus
