📋 Description
• Provide patient-focused customer service by phone • Perform outpatient and/or inpatient registration • Perform insurance verification functions • Initiate and secure authorization for scheduled services • Provide general information to hospital users, patients, families, and physician offices
🎯 Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent • 2 years of hospital registration or insurance verification experience • Prior authorization experience in surgeries or radiology • Experience with Idaho/Oregon insurance verification • Knowledge of medical terminology • Knowledge of diagnostic coding and procedural coding • Knowledge of insurance verification • Ability to explain benefits and secure necessary authorizations • Experience with EPIC software preferred • National certification in HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one year of hire
